Why Our Denver OB-GYN Practice Is Different
Selecting an OB-GYN practice is an important decision, one best made by knowing what makes one practice different from another.
We constantly adjust our practice and OB-GYN care to fit the needs and preferences of our patients, emphasizing our personal engagement with each individual.
At our practice, patients are seen as unique people our providers get to know. Patients are never treated like a number, but as individuals.
Our practice’s affiliation with the University of Colorado medical community and its resources benefits our patients, keeping us on the cutting edge of medical developments and research that we then apply to those entrusting us with their care.
The combined skills and insights of our tight-knit group of providers is a priceless benefit for those we see. We support each other in caring for our patients, firmly believing that more brains working together are better than one and that this combined expertise is key to offering the best care.
We embrace all patients needing gynecologic or obstetrics care and use inclusive terminology and practices that are welcoming for all patients: heterosexual, lesbian, transgender, gender-nonconforming and nonbinary.
Welcoming new patients and serving current ones
Our principles of adaptability & direct OB-GYN patient engagement
To practice the best medicine, providers and medical staff must have the adaptability to learn and apply new best practices in providing care. As part of University of Colorado’s world-renowned medical community, our physicians and clinicians are at the forefront of advances in obstetrics and gynecology care.
CU Medicine OB-GYN East Denver providers closely follow the latest research and clinical trial results. This enhances the evidence-based approach to the care we provide, ensuring our patients receive the most effective care for superior outcomes. Change never stops in OB-GYN care, and we don’t either.
A patient is a person needing care and compassion, not a number
We are all about people: Treating their illnesses, maintaining their good health and understanding their concerns. For our providers, getting to know the patient is a fundamental aspect of excellent medical care.
A mutual sense of trust built on open communication is the cornerstone of the provider/patient relationship at our practice. It is invaluable in providing care for a person throughout the stages of their life.
We take the time to talk to you about your wants, needs, fears and status during each visit. You can also call us with questions or message your provider through the Patient Portal outside of appointments.
Redefining OB-GYN care through team collaboration and patient-centric practices
Quality healthcare is more than many years of experience and board certifications – although we have those covered. Together, we have served the Denver community for more than 30 years, and we are backed by 130 years of combined clinical experience.
When you visit our practice, you can expect our expert treatment to be delivered in a warm, open and professional manner. We have a substantial team of OB-GYNs and supporting providers skilled in all areas of care.
Our 10-plus providers consistently share what we know and what we learn from challenging and unique patient encounters with our teammates. We make the most of this team of experts, frequently getting second opinions from each other on diagnoses and treatments.
So, how do we define the best medical experience? You. Your comfort. Your well-being. Your total health.
We believe in all aspects of safely improving care and patient comfort, which is why our practice offers pain management for gynecological treatments. All a patient has to do is to ask about pain management, and we will provide it if it is safe and appropriate.

Inclusivity is the foundation of healthcare at CU Medicine OB-GYN East Denver (Rocky Mountain)
Our practice changes as our patient population changes, such as the increase in those identifying as LGBTQIA+. Our care aligns with these changes and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’ guidelines in addressing inclusive care for LGBTQIA+ individuals.
