Dr. Patterson is a board-certified OB-GYN who grew up in the Chicago suburb of Wilmette, Illinois. She moved to Colorado to attend Colorado College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology. She completed her Doctor of Medicine and residency in OB-GYN at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Patterson is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and she joined CU Medicine OB-GYN East Denver (Rocky Mountain) in 2013.

She feels providing comprehensive care to women throughout their lives is truly a privilege.

“I love the diversity of this specialty; I see patients in the office, perform deliveries and operate all in the same week,” says Patterson. “Caring for pregnant patients and performing deliveries is so gratifying, and it’s amazing to be involved in such an important part of someone’s life and ensure that both mom and baby are healthy in the end.”

Dr. Patterson believes that getting to know her patients, beyond just why they have come to the office, is crucial to providing the best comprehensive care. She always tells her obstetric patients her three goals for them and their family: healthy baby, healthy mom and a positive experience they will treasure.

In addition to obstetrical services, Dr. Patterson is a skilled surgeon. She particularly excels at minimally invasive surgery, including procedures with the da Vinci robotic surgery system.
